Roots of New Age Movement

Since psychics feel and see what others could not, they are often associated with the occult science. Demons, sects, cults, witchcrafts, talismans, and spirits are the main signatures for its practitioners; the history of psychics connects the occult with the modern day sciences.

Psychic history also has proven that the labeling of spiritualist movements with psychic phenomenon is as old as man himself.

When man lived close to nature, they revered those who were possessed of psychic powers: Named as medicine women/men or shamans, those one felt called upon to maintain contact with spirits. They gave answers to the unknown and the Highest Power.

At the beginning of time, there was a little place in society for these loners. Years after, those with special powers could not adapt to civilization faith. The 4 th Century Council of Nicaea brought to an end the use of mediums and held that divine guidance, through the Holy Spirit.

Pagans went underground; encouraging pupils in order to ensure continuance of –now called - metaphysics communication. T heir experiences should be passed with extreme caution because churches dogmatism rejected any of those paranormal signs. Otherwise, Wiccan would be accused of heresy.

Interest in these traditions makes it develop in cycles of flourishing and decline, adapted to the spirit of the times.
